Rejecting Waste Culture
Each day at Hostal Empuries we set aside time to identify materials or products which may be biodegradable or which at the end of their use can be converted into base material for new products of the same quality.
The regeneration of the Hostal strives to ensure that our building of today , will be our foundations for tomorrow . To do this we must choose materials which convert into base material producing new materials of equal usefulness.
We also check the composition of these materials to ensure that, during their use, no harmful substances are released ( volatiles ).
At Hostal Empuries we produce approximately 1/3 of the energy we consume and 100% of our electricity is sourced from renewable resources.
